Privacy policy

Subbie is local-first by design. The short version: your subscription data stays on your device unless you deliberately turn on sync.

What Subbie stores

The subscriptions, free trials, categories, prices, billing cycles and reminder settings you enter are stored in a database on your own device. You can use Subbie entirely as a guest, with no account, and every core feature keeps working with no network connection at all.

What Subbie does not collect

  • No bank, card, or open-banking credentials. Subbie has no mechanism to connect to a financial institution.
  • No contacts, location, photos, SMS, or call data.
  • No advertising identifiers, and no advertising SDKs.

Optional account and sync

If you choose to create an account, Subbie can sync your subscription data across your devices so you do not lose it when you change phone. In that case your subscription records and your account identifier are transmitted to and stored by the sync provider. Sync is off until you enable it, and signing out returns Subbie to local-only operation.

Notifications

Renewal and free-trial reminders are scheduled locally on your device by Android's alarm system. They are not sent from a server and do not require a network connection.

This website

This site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request logs including IP address and user agent, as any web host does. The site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your data, your call

Because the default store is on your device, uninstalling Subbie removes your local data. If you enabled sync, you can request deletion of the synced copy by contacting the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or transmitted, the effective date above will change and the update will be noted in the changelog.
